Aúpa Lumbreiras!!

Ten days - that's all that's left before thousands of leather jackets, patched battle vests, battered Converse and voices that have spent decades screaming punk anthems descend on Villena. For the first time in over a decade, Aúpa Lumbreiras!! is back. Not rebooted. Not reinvented. Not polished for social media. Just back where it belongs.

Between 13-15 August, the legendary festival returns to the Polideportivo Municipal de Villena, bringing three relentless days across three stages with the kind of line-up that feels like somebody emptied the contents of every punk's record collection onto one poster.

This isn't one of those festivals where people spend all day queuing for artisan burgers before watching the headliner from the VIP bar. This is sweat. Dust. Sunburn. Cheap beer.

Friends you haven't seen since the last time somebody shouted "¡Aúpa!" across a campsite. It's Soziedad Alkoholika ripping holes in the night.It's Evaristo still refusing to mellow with age. It's El Drogas, Narco, Boikot, The Toy Dolls, Reincidentes, Def Con Dos, Talco, Kaos Etiliko, El Último Ke Zierre, Los de Marras, Envidia Kotxina and dozens more reminding everyone why this festival became an institution in the first place.

The return has been years in the making. For many, Lumbreiras wasn't simply another weekend on the festival calendar—it was where lifelong friendships were forged, where political slogans mixed with guitar feedback, where every chorus felt like a protest and every campsite became its own temporary republic. Now those gates are about to open again.

The venue hasn't forgotten how to throw a proper festival either. Three continuously running stages. Shaded camping. An Olympic swimming pool waiting to rescue exhausted survivors from the Alicante heat. Trees. Space. Actual room to breathe between the chaos. It's built for endurance because this isn't a sprint—it's three days of organised punk-rock mayhem.

And perhaps that's why this comeback matters so much. Festivals disappear all the time. Very few come back with their identity intact. Aúpa Lumbreiras hasn't returned to chase trends or reinvent itself for a new audience. It has come back carrying everything that made people fall in love with it in the first place—attitude, community and enough volume to rattle the mountains around Villena.

Ten days from now the first riffs will ring out across the Polideportivo. Ten days from now one of Spain's most beloved punk festivals writes its next chapter. Lumbreiras is coming home.
