Reincidentes
A sold-out Rock City, a room full of diehard fans, classic Reincidentes anthems and a special onstage appearance from Fernando Madina with Annacrusa. Saturday night had all the ingredients for a proper rock ’n’ roll occasion.
Rock City in Almàssera was packed to the rafters on Saturday, 17 October, as Reincidentes and Annacrusa brought two distinct flavours of Spanish rock together for a sold-out night of heavy guitars, powerful vocals and rebellious spirit. The fans turned up in force, the atmosphere was electric, and the venue became a meeting point for generations of rock lovers who know exactly why live music still matters.

Annacrusa opened the proceedings with their darker, more atmospheric approach to rock, blending heavy guitars with contrasting vocal textures, piano and synthesizers. Formed in 2018, the Castellón quartet have been developing a distinctive sound that balances weight and sensitivity, drawing on metal influences while exploring more melodic territory. Their third album, Perder la fe, continues that journey, demonstrating a band unafraid to explore the shadows while keeping their musical identity firmly intact.
But the evening had another surprise up its sleeve. Fernando Madina, the unmistakable voice and bassist of Reincidentes, joined Annacrusa on stage, creating one of those unexpected moments that make live gigs so special. It was a meeting of musical worlds that brought an extra spark to an already memorable evening, connecting the two acts in front of a crowd that needed little encouragement to get involved.

Then it was time for the main event. Reincidentes, the Seville punk-rock institution, took to the stage with decades of experience behind them and a catalogue of songs that has soundtracked Spanish rock rebellion for generations.
From the opening moments, the sold-out crowd made its feelings clear. These weren't casual listeners waiting politely for the next song; these were fans who knew the words, understood the attitude and had come ready to give as good as they got. When the classic Reincidentes songs came around, the room became a collective voice, with fans singing along to the anthems that have kept the band at the heart of Spain's punk-rock scene for decades.
Reincidentes have always been about more than three chords and a loud amplifier. Their music carries a sharp social conscience, a refusal to accept the status quo and a directness that cuts through the noise. Their classic songs hit differently when delivered to a room full of people who have grown up with them, discovered them through friends or found their own reasons to connect with the band's uncompromising message. At Rock City, the bond between band and audience was impossible to ignore.

There was no need for elaborate production or unnecessary theatrics. The guitars, the voices and the crowd did the heavy lifting. Every chorus shared between the stage and the floor reinforced what makes a Reincidentes concert such a potent experience: these songs belong as much to the people singing them back as they do to the musicians who wrote them.
Rock City proved the perfect home for the occasion. A sold-out room, passionate fans and two bands bringing their own identities to the same stage made for a celebration of the diversity and resilience of the Spanish rock scene.
Annacrusa brought the contemporary edge, Reincidentes delivered the punk-rock legacy, and Fernando Madina's guest appearance provided an unexpected link between the two. Add a crowd singing along to the classics, and Saturday night had all the ingredients of a proper Valencia rock gathering.
Sold out, turned up loud and fuelled by the fans. Rock City got the kind of night that reminds you why these venues matter and why, after all these years, Spanish punk rock still has plenty to say.
