Fazerdaze, the dream-pop project led by New Zealand multi-instrumentalist Amelia Murray, is currently on tour as the opening act for alternative rock legends Pixies. This run marks Fazerdaze’s first-ever U.S. tour.
The seventh stop brought Fazerdaze to Austin, Texas, where fans braved triple-digit heat to catch the early evening set. Despite the weather, the crowd was met with a performance that highlighted Fazerdaze’s signature blend of intimate synth arrangements, guitar, and airy, melodic vocals.
The setlist spanned Murray’s career, featuring selections from her 2017 debut album Morningside, her 2022 EP Break!, and her sophomore full-length Soft Power. The mix offered both longtime listeners and new fans a well-rounded introduction to Fazerdaze’s evolving sound.
Fazerdaze continues on tour with Pixies in the weeks ahead, with stops scheduled in Houston, Chicago, Nashville, and more bringing dreamy pop textures to audiences across the country.
