Homenaje Arena Auditorium

There are concerts, and then there are nights that carry real meaning. On Saturday 13 June 2026, Valencia will experience one of those landmark evenings when Homenaje Arena Auditorium arrives at the Plaza de Toros to celebrate one of the most iconic live music venues the city has ever known. This is far more than another show on the schedule — it is a powerful tribute to the sound, spirit and memories of a golden age.

For anyone who lived through the 1980s and 1990s in Valencia, the name Arena Auditorium still means something special. From its opening in 1983 until its closure in 1999, the venue became the beating heart of the city’s nightlife and concert culture — a place where pop, rock, goth, indie and alternative music all found a home. It was where people discovered new favourite bands, where friendships were made, and where Valencia stood proudly on the touring map.

Now, years later, that legacy steps back into the spotlight for one unforgettable celebration. Leading the bill are Immaculate Fools, the much-loved British band whose emotional melodies and timeless songwriting made them favourites across Europe. Their appearance gives the event real depth and underlines the international reputation Arena once enjoyed.

Joining them are party legends Los Inhumanos, bringing a special 30 hombres solos concert set. Expect humour, singalongs, wild energy and the kind of joyous chaos only they can deliver. Few bands capture the carefree spirit of those years quite like them.

Valencia favourites Comité Cisne and Glamour also appear in a special face-to-face performance, adding another layer of nostalgia and local pride. Both groups are woven into the city’s musical story, and their presence makes this event a true celebration of homegrown talent.

Then comes Neon Collective, delivering a full-throttle tribute to the artists who defined the era — U2, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cure and many more. This promises to be one of the night’s most emotional moments as the crowd is carried back through a catalogue of unforgettable anthems.

And because no salute to Arena would be complete without the soundtrack between the live sets, the decks will be handled by José Coll, Luis Bonías and DJ Rigo, names closely linked to the scene and to nights that seemed like they would never end.

What makes this event so special is that it celebrates far more than bricks and walls. It honours a time when Valencia was bold, creative and musically adventurous. Arena welcomed global stars, rising names, cult heroes and local favourites. It gave people first gigs, last dances and stories they still tell decades later. It represented freedom, discovery and connection. Now that same atmosphere returns to the Plaza de Toros — a venue grand enough to hold thousands of memories and ready to create brand new ones.

Doors open at 17:00, with the show beginning at 18:00, giving fans a full evening to reunite, reminisce and sing every word back to the stage. Expect old friends meeting again after years apart. Expect conversations that begin with “Do you remember when…?” Expect vintage shirts, black eyeliner, dancing strangers, raised hands, emotional choruses and moments that stay with you long after the final song. Most of all, expect proof that some places never really disappear. Arena Auditorium closed its doors years ago, but on 13 June its spirit returns in style. Valencia is ready to feel that magic once more.
