Leyendas del Rock 2026 Reveals Stage Times as the Countdown Begins to Its Biggest Festival Ever

The wait is over. With just weeks to go until thousands of metal fans descend on Villena, Alicante, Leyendas del Rock has officially unveiled the stage times for its landmark 20th anniversary edition, allowing festivalgoers to start planning every riff, breakdown and circle pit of what promises to be the most ambitious event in the festival's history.

Running from 5–8 August 2026, Spain's longest-running international heavy metal and hard rock festival is celebrating two decades at the very top of the country's rock calendar with a colossal line-up featuring more than 60 performancesspread across the Dave Mustaine, Doro Pesch and New Rock stages.

The newly released timetable confirms four days packed with virtually non-stop music, giving fans their first chance to map out exactly where they'll be throughout the weekend—and, inevitably, which heartbreaking clashes they'll have to choose between.

Wednesday kicks off with pure brutality

Opening day wastes absolutely no time. Russian deathcore sensation Slaughter To Prevail headline the Dave Mustaine Stage after a day packed with crushing performances from Savage Grace, Sepultura, Black Label Society, Orbit Culture, Thundermother, Jord, Tailgunner and many more. With Sepultura bringing their farewell tour to Spain and Slaughter To Prevail making one of their exclusive festival appearances, Wednesday alone could easily headline most European metal festivals.

Thursday delivers melodic metal royalty

Thursday belongs to some of the biggest names in modern metal. Swedish giants Arch Enemy top the bill, while American hard rock heavyweights Godsmack make one of the most eagerly anticipated appearances of the entire festival following the announcement of their European summer tour. Also appearing throughout the day are Of Mice & Men, Dark Tranquillity, Northlane, D'Artagnan, Mushroomhead, Lepoka, plus an impressive selection of emerging talent on the New Rock Stage. The day offers one of the most diverse line-ups of the weekend, effortlessly blending melodic death metal, metalcore, alternative metal, folk metal and classic hard rock.

Friday is stacked from top to bottom

If there was ever a day designed to test fans' stamina, it's Friday. Swedish melodic death metal pioneers In Flames headline one of their only Spanish festival appearances, while power metal legends Stratovarius and Spanish favourites WarCry ensure there will barely be a moment to catch your breath. Elsewhere, Saurom, Future Palace, Saratoga, Dark Moor, The Baboon Show and Blaze Out make Friday arguably the festival's most varied day, moving seamlessly between folk metal, melodic power metal, hard rock and punk energy.

Saturday closes the festival in spectacular fashion

What better way to celebrate twenty years than with one of Europe's greatest power metal bands?

Helloween headline the final night as part of their 40th Anniversary celebrations, bringing decades of classics to Villena. They'll be joined by progressive metal legends Savatage, whose long-awaited return to Europe has been one of the biggest stories in metal this year. The closing day also features Heaven Shall Burn, Deicide, Eihwar, Guilt Trip, Hardline, Ankhara, House of Dawn and many more, ensuring the festival signs off with maximum intensity.

Since its beginnings, Leyendas del Rock has grown from a respected Spanish festival into one of Europe's essential destinations for heavy music. The 2026 edition represents a milestone—not only celebrating its twentieth anniversary but also presenting arguably its strongest line-up to date.
