Punk Rock Contra El Cáncer
Punk rock, good people, great bands and a cause that deserves everyone's support. What better way to kick off 2027? Punk Rock Contra El Cáncer returns to Valencia's Loco Club on Saturday 9 January, bringing together a cracking collection of punk rock musicians, DJs and supporters for a night where the music is loud, the atmosphere is guaranteed to be lively and the message is bigger than the mosh pit.

Following the success of its first edition, the event returns for round two, once again putting the power of the local music community behind the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer de Valencia. It's a brilliant example of what happens when musicians, venues and music fans pull together for something that genuinely matters.
And they've certainly put together a line-up worth getting excited about.
Leading the charge are The Hawaiians, the Mallorcan party starters who clearly understand that punk rock and a sense of humour make for a rather dangerous combination. Returning after winning over the crowd at the inaugural event, they're promising another set packed with familiar favourites, unexpected surprises and their own wonderfully unpredictable take on some much-loved classics. If you were there last time, you'll know exactly what to expect. If you missed it, here's your opportunity to put that right.
Joining them are The Off-Spin, a special cover-band project from Spin-Off, delivering a set dedicated to two of the biggest names in 1990s punk rock: Green Day and The Offspring. Expect the kind of songs that have soundtracked countless teenage bedrooms, festival fields and late-night singalongs. From the infectious energy of Dookie and American Idiot to the punk rock firepower of Smash and Americana, this is going to be a full-throttle trip down memory lane.
And when the bands leave the stage, the party doesn't stop. Call Me Fat Fuck Geriatric Punk DJ Set returns to take control of the decks, keeping the punk rock soundtrack rolling and making sure nobody heads home before they've had their fill of classic tunes and questionable dance moves.
But there's a much bigger reason to get involved. Punk has always had a strong sense of community, independence and standing up for something you believe in. Punk Rock Contra El Cáncer takes those values and puts them to practical use, bringing people together to support the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer de Valencia. The first edition established the foundations, and this second instalment is another opportunity to turn a shared love of music into something genuinely positive.
It's also a reminder that the local music scene is about much more than what's happening on stage. It's about the people organising events, the musicians giving up their time, the venue opening its doors and the audience turning up to show their support.
And what better setting than Loco Club? Situated on Carrer de l'Erudit Orellana, this much-loved Valencia venue has become one of the city's essential homes for live music. Its intimate atmosphere makes it a perfect place for nights like this, where the distance between the stage and the audience is practically non-existent and the energy travels straight across the room.
Saturday 9 January promises a healthy dose of nostalgia, plenty of punk rock attitude, a few surprises and, most importantly, an opportunity to support a worthwhile cause. So, bring your mates, warm up those vocal cords, dust off your favourite band T-shirts and get ready to throw yourself into it. Three great reasons to be there: The Hawaiians, The Off-Spin and a cause worth supporting!
