Shinova
There was no shortage of anticipation inside the Sala Auditorio Roig Arena on Saturday night as 2,000 fans packed the venue to welcome Shinova and their La Tormenta Perfecta Tour. Sold out months in advance, the response said plenty about the growing reputation of one of Spain's most compelling alternative rock bands.

Hailing from Bérriz in the Basque Country, Shinova have spent more than two decades building their identity, evolving from their early hard rock and metal influences into a distinctive blend of alternative rock, indie and melodic, emotionally charged songwriting. Formed in 2008, the band have steadily established themselves as a major presence on the Spanish rock scene, developing a loyal following through their powerful recordings, memorable choruses and increasingly impressive live performances.
Albums such as Ana y el Artista Temerario, Volver and La Buena Suerte have helped shape that journey, with the latter marking another important step in their development and bringing their music to an even wider audience. Their ability to balance atmospheric arrangements, infectious melodies and genuinely heartfelt lyrics has become a defining part of the Shinova sound. And Valencia certainly got the full experience.

Opening with 'Si no es contigo' and 'El álbum', the band wasted little time getting the room moving, launching into a set that travelled confidently through their catalogue. 'Cartas de navegación', 'No cambiaría nada', 'Gigantes' and 'Volver' kept the momentum rolling, while 'Alas' and 'Gloria' added further depth to an already impressive collection of songs.
One of Shinova's greatest strengths is their ability to make big, expansive rock songs feel personal. There is a real emotional connection running through their music, and that translated beautifully into the live setting. The audience was right there with them, singing along, embracing the quieter moments and giving every big chorus the response it deserved.
'Los días que vendrán', 'Movimiento' and 'Ídolos (Los mejores momentos están por llegar)' were among the highlights, while 'Berlín', 'Todo gira y vuelve' and 'Lo que podría salvarnos' demonstrated just how strong and varied the band's back catalogue has become.

As the evening moved towards its closing stages, the atmosphere continued to build. 'El día que murieron las canciones', 'Tiempo' and 'Qué casualidad' set the scene for a particularly strong run of songs, with 'La sonrisa intacta' and 'Antes de que todo se acabe' providing some of the night's most memorable moments. For the finale, Shinova reached for 'Mirlo Blanco' and 'Te debo una canción', bringing nearly two hours of music to a fitting close.
What stood out was the sheer consistency of the performance. Shinova have developed into a band with the confidence, songwriting and musical identity to fill rooms like this, without losing the emotional connection that brought their audience along for the ride in the first place.
A sold-out Roig Arena, 2,000 people singing back and a band clearly enjoying their moment. Valencia gave Shinova a tremendous welcome, and Shinova gave Valencia exactly what it came for. La Tormenta Perfecta? More like the perfect Saturday night.
