If your winter soul is craving warmth, swing and a little dust on the boots, Sunshine in Ohio are about to provide the cure — no passport required.
On Wednesday, February 4, the French trio roll into El Cafè (Carcaixent) bringing a sun-bleached blend of blues, folk, swing and country that feels ripped straight from a back porch somewhere between the Mississippi Delta and a forgotten railroad town. This is roots music played with joy, precision and just enough grit to keep it honest.
Sunshine in Ohio don’t do excess — they do craft. Upright bass, acoustic guitar, fiddle and three voices locked into tight, road-tested harmony. Their sound is old-soul but alive, tapping into early Americana traditions while keeping things light on their feet. Think porch-swing grooves, toe-tapping rhythms and melodies that make you smile before you even realise you’re hooked.
The setting couldn’t be better. El Cafè is intimate, warm and famously tuned to the human scale — the kind of room where music breathes, conversations pause, and the band is close enough to see the grin when the groove clicks into place. Doors open early, the show starts at 20:00, and by the end you’ll swear the temperature’s gone up a few degrees.
Midweek. No fuss. Pure connection. If you believe live music should feel shared, not staged, this one’s already calling your name.
