Some voices grab your attention. Others reach straight through your ribcage and leave something behind. Lia Kali belongs firmly in the second category, and on 24 October she reminded Valencia exactly why she has become one of Spain’s most compelling artists, drawing a crowd of more than 1,700 to the Sala Auditorio Roig Arena.

With a temporary break from live performances planned for 2027, this was one of the final opportunities for Valencian fans to catch the Barcelona-born powerhouse before she steps away from the stage to focus on new creative projects. There was plenty to make the occasion feel special, and Lia Kali delivered a set that travelled effortlessly across the many musical worlds she calls home.

At the heart of the show was Kaelis 2.0, her 2025 album that helped propel her onto the international stage and cemented her reputation as a distinctive force in Spain’s urban and alternative scene. But this was no one-dimensional genre exercise. Reggae, soul, rap, urban beats and singer-songwriter sensibilities all found their place in a sound that refuses to sit neatly inside any box.

From the opening stretch, the audience responded enthusiastically as tracks including “Alzo el vuelo” and “Contra Todo Pronóstico” set the tone. “Con tu collar”, “Falso” and “Fosforito” showcased the breadth of her repertoire, balancing contemporary urban rhythms with the emotional directness that makes her music connect.

Then came “Florezco”, one of the defining moments of the evening and a reminder of the songwriting that sits beneath the attitude and the beats. Elsewhere, “HeavyHeavyHeavy” and “La Cruz” underlined the sheer range of her performance, with Lia Kali moving between styles without losing the identity that makes her stand out from the crowd.

As the concert headed towards its conclusion, the intensity continued to build. “Chulx” and “Cantaré” helped drive the final stretch before “Renacer” brought the evening to its close, greeted by an ovation from the crowd. For Roig Arena, it was another strong night for a venue continuing to establish itself as a major stop on Valencia’s live-music circuit. For Lia Kali, it was a significant moment in the closing chapter of her current touring era.

The singer plans to take a break from the stage during 2027 to concentrate on fresh creative projects, with a return anticipated in 2028 alongside the presentation of her third studio album.

Until then, Valencia has another reason to appreciate what it witnessed: an artist unafraid to blend genres, wear her emotions openly and follow her own musical instincts. With 1,700 fans behind her, Lia Kali made her Roig Arena appearance count — and left the promise of a new chapter hanging in the air.
