Tangible

Forget polished clichés and safe, predictable rock. Marseille four-piece TANGIBLE deal in sharp guitars, bruising riffs and French lyrics with something to say. Built around the long-standing friendship between vocalist and rhythm guitarist Ludovic and guitarist Mathieu, alongside bassist Laurent and drummer Sébastian, the band have carved out a sound that moves between raw rock aggression and more atmospheric, melancholic territory. Punk energy sits alongside moments of restraint, with the music serving the words rather than the other way around.

Their debut video, Les mots d’éther, tackled the devastation of war, conjuring images of bombed streets, empty lives and ashes. It's bleak subject matter, delivered without dressing it up. The band describe it as a snapshot of the images and anxieties that have troubled them — a song that asks questions rather than pretending to have answers.

Ma sorcière takes a different route, exploring love and emotional dependency, while their four-track debut EP, Où en est la lumière, released in January 2026, digs into some equally uncomfortable territory.

Les erreurs deals with remorse and forgiveness. Les déserteurs takes aim at power and the appeal of authoritarian slogans. Then there's Ça pue le chien chez moi, a tale of unwelcome guests that turns into an unlikely story of affection. Closing track La descente tackles addiction and alcoholism, offering a message to friends who might be struggling: you're not alone.

It's a varied collection, but there's a common thread running through it all. TANGIBLE aren't interested in writing songs that simply sound good with the volume up. They tackle war, relationships, regret and addiction, wrapping difficult subjects in guitar-driven rock that can switch from abrasive to atmospheric without losing its edge.

Recorded at Marseille's Onde Source Studio, Où en est la lumière gives the band four tracks to make their case. There's grit here, but also a willingness to leave space for the lyrics and let a song breathe.

TANGIBLE are still building their story, with live dates across France putting their material in front of new audiences. They're not reinventing rock, and they don't need to. They're making direct, unvarnished music in their own language, with enough bite to make you listen to the words.
